Elaine T. Newquist

Elaine T. Newquist is a partner with the firm.

She began her career as a law clerk for Ganan & Shapiro and then as an attorney for the firm after graduating law school. Her work takes her throughout the State of Illinois and she has the pleasure of representing self-insured employers, TPA’s and insurance carriers at the Commission, Circuit and Appellate court levels.

Elaine is longstanding member, past officer and president of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association, a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and an auxiliary member of the National Council of Self Insurers.

Elaine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rosary College in 1983. She earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1986.
Outside the practice of law, she enjoys playing golf, cooking elaborate meals, boating on Bangs Lake, and the company of her husband, family, friends, and two adorable and energetic Labrador retrievers, Maybellene and Lucille.
