Mary Scarpinato is an associate with the firm.
Mary represents employers and insurance carriers in the defense of worker's compensation and subrogation matters before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, Circuit, and Appellate Courts.
She graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
After college, Mary attended the University of Iowa College of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate.
During her time at Iowa Law, Mary was a judicial intern for the U.S. District Court Central District of Illinois, was the inaugural Senior Online Editor of the Journal of Corporation Law, and devoted her time serving on the board of various clubs and organizations, including the Iowa Student Bar Association (ISBA) and the Organization of Women Law Students and Staff (OWLSS).
Upon graduation, Mary received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence for Spring 2023, the Mark and Marilyn Wunder Nonprofit Excellence Award, and the Willard L. Boyd Public Service Distinction Highest Service Honors.
Prior to joining the firm, Mary completed a judicial clerkship for the Seventh Judicial District of Iowa where she drafted rulings for both civil and criminal cases.
In her free time, Mary likes to spend time with her family, friends, and her mini dachshund Remi.
