Welcome New Members of the Team

The firm welcomes three new members to the Ganan & Shapiro team: John Morris, Dru Dennis and Sarah Antrim.

John Morris graduated with cum laude honors from DePaul University College of Law in 2014, after having received CALI awards for constitutional law and criminal juvenile justice, as well as being inducted into DePaul’s Order of Barristers for excellence in written and oral advocacy based on his success with DePaul’s Appellate Moot Court Society.  He started as a law clerk for the firm in 2012 and became an associate upon his graduation and swearing in to the bar in November, 2014. John will be handling cases in the Chicago area, as well as the new Elgin and Kankakee venues.

Dru Dennis graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2010; his studies included courses taken at the London Law Centre of the University of Notre Dame. He also worked as a law clerk for various downstate firms during law school and volunteered with the Tazewell County State’s Attorney’s Office. Upon graduation, Dru commenced working for a Peoria firm and focused his practice on the defense of workers’ compensation claims. He has brought his talents to Ganan & Shapiro’s Peoria office and will be handling cases in the Mt. Vernon and Herrin venues.

Sarah Antrim also graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law, in 2014, after acting as the articles editor for the Southern Illinois Law Journal and receiving CALI awards for negotiation and conflict of laws and being named to the Deans List. She interned for various central Illinois law firms during law school and also interned with the Tazewell County State’s Attorney’s Office, obtaining a 711 license and participating in a bench trial. Sarah was sworn into the bar in November of 2014 and starting working in our Peoria office in January 2015. We are confident her skills as an English major and in negotiation will serve her well in the defense of workers’ compensation claims.
