New Partners

Ganan & Shapiro is proud to announce the elevation of two associates to partnership with the firm.  Melissa McEndree, who joined the firm in 2002, and Ben Schroeder, who joined the firm in 2011, have been named partners by firm management.

Melissa graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2000 (cum laude), and began her career with the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office.  She thereafter transitioned to private practice with the Law Offices of Peter F. Ferracuti, P.C. in Ottawa, where she began to learn the ropes of workers’ compensation law. She joined Ganan & Shapiro as an associate in 2002, where she honed her skills as a defense attorney. Our clients have been the beneficiary of her attention to detail, common sense approach and skills as a litigator ever since. Click here for Melissa’s full biography: Melissa McEndree

Ben also graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, in 2002. He began his career in the real estate field, working for Midwest Real Estate Investment Company from 2003 to 2011. In that year, he made the transition to workers’ compensation law, joining Ganan & Shapiro as an associate. He quickly learned the ins and outs of the workers’ compensation practice, honed his skills as a litigator and brought his skills as a tenacious negotiator to the table on behalf of our clients. This decision was made in recognition of their years of hard work, dedication and efforts on behalf of the firm, including excellent client service and client development.  In addition, Melissa and Ben have been proactive over the years in promoting and exhibiting the values of Ganan & Shapiro to both existing and prospective clients. We congratulate them both and look forward to many more years of success as part of the Ganan & Shapiro family.
